Since 2015, PLET has presented their Police & Minority Relations course to thousands of police officers across the United States. In 2016, PLET began presenting a debrief on the Dallas Police July 7, 2016 Ambush where 5 police officers were killed.
 
Join us live as we combine these presentations into a 4-hour, interactive webinar to discuss the current issues straining the relationship between police and minority citizens as well as a complete debrief of the Dallas Police Ambush from the lead negotiator on that deadly night.
Course Instructor: Byron Boston

Byron Boston, Dallas Police Department (Retired)

Byron Boston served twenty (20) years with Dallas Police Department before retiring in May 2017. He spent over fourteen (14) years in the Narcotics Division as an Undercover Officer and Tactical Narcotic Entry Team Member.  

On July 7, 2016, Byron’s Tactical Team responded to the college within minutes of the shooting, entered the college to rescue stranded students. Their final mission was to secure the college for the resolution.  
Course Instructor: Larry Gordon

Larry Gordon, Dallas Police Department

Larry Gordon has served with the Dallas Police Department for the past twenty-five (25) years. Larry spent thirteen (13) years in SWAT and Larry served as one of the lead negotiators for several years. 
 
On July 7, 2016, Larry faced his most challenging negotiations as he spent hours negotiating with an individual who killed five police officers.
