Jessica Brittain
has served 17 years in Law Enforcement. She is currently serving with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office in Fort Worth, Texas where she is assigned as the Training Academy Coordinator.
Jessica has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with an Emphasis in Leadership from Texas A&M University – Commerce. She also attended the Texas Forensic Science Academy, receiving certifications as a Major Crime Investigator and Forensic Investigator. Furthermore, she is a Texas Master Peace Officer and Advanced Instructor.
Throughout her tenure, she has served as a patrol deputy, property crimes detective, major case detective, crime scene investigator, and patrol sergeant. She served for several years in Human Trafficking/Child Exploitation Unit as an undercover detective and decoy. She was involved in multiple undercover operations as the decoy or the case agent of such operations. She has been responsible for more than 500 “sex buyer” arrests and more than 100 online solicitation of a minor arrests.
In 2020, she was promoted to Sergeant and was assigned to Patrol Division. During her assignment in Patrol, she oversaw North Patrol division and was also the FTO Coordinator.
In 2023, she was promoted to Lieutenant and currently oversees the background/hiring, recruiting, and training divisions. Lieutenant Brittain has been the recipient of numerous commendations and awards to include Supervisor of the Year, Deputy of the Year, Medal of Merit and Medal of Lifesaving.
