Billy McIntosh
began his law enforcement career in Wylie, Texas Police Department in 2005. During his career Billy has been an FTO, Supervised patrol shifts and the FTO Program, built a mental health program, and has become a go-to guy in the North Texas area as an advocate and trainer of mental health interactive techniques.
Billy has a passion for communication, mental health, leadership, tactical de-escalation, and the well-being of every public servant who serves their community. Billy is considered a subject matter expert in the field of de-escalation and crisis intervention. Billy is a certified CIT Coordinator and has built training and policy at the Wylie Police Department in order to improve the officers/citizens contact and make it more beneficial for both sides.
Billy has conducted training to various law enforcement agencies throughout Texas and currently instructs on a regular basis at the Collin College Law Enforcement Center in McKinney, TX. Due to his efforts in creating a safer critical communication style of training, Billy was awarded the mental Health Officer of the Year from the Texas CIT Association in 2016 and another Mental Health Officer of the Year in 2018 form the Collin County Crisis Intervention Team.
Lastly, Billy wants to be a resource to all individuals in crisis, with a true calling towards those in public safety that struggle with the daily pressures that come with serving the community.
