Amber Khan
is a 14-year veteran Police Sergeant with the Houston Police Department. Amber has spent the majority of her career as an undercover officer having worked vice, human trafficking and narcotics investigations.
Amber spent five years as an undercover officer assigned to the Vice division where she conducted hundreds of investigations around prostitutes, pimps, human trafficking victims, TABC complaints, gambling rooms, and spas. Amber has conducted hundreds of undercover investigations.
While assigned to the Narcotics division, she was known for her skills as an undercover officer and was approached for her assistance in furthering investigations as a UC. Amber has conducted dynamic entry search warrants, buy/busts, buy/walks, social media investigations, street-level narcotics investigations, as well mid-level investigations with FBI, DEA, DPS as well as investigations with other divisions in her agency. In her tenure as an undercover officer, she has trained many officers and equipped them with the tools they need to conduct safe, effective, thorough investigations.
Amber is currently assigned to a patrol division, where she continues to mentor young officers and teach them how to conduct quality investigations.
Amber holds instructor certifications through Texas Commissions on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). Amber obtained her Master of Social Work and a Master of Science in Hospitality Management degrees from the University of Houston.
